Our Story

Taking Shalom Fibres to Australia and the World

In 2025, Francina Solomon and Alex Prabhakar, also part of the third generation, joined the business with a vision to take Shalom Fibres beyond India.

Their focus is to bring Shalom Fibres products to Australia and worldwide markets, supporting growers, nurseries, horticulture businesses and sustainable farming communities with reliable coco fibre solutions.

This marks a new chapter for the brand, connecting more than four decades of family experience with global opportunities in modern agriculture and sustainable farming.

The Third Generation Steps In

In 2020, Jacob, the third generation of the family, joined the business.

Bringing exceptional managerial and engineering skills, Jacob added new strength to the company’s operations. His contribution helped improve business systems, operational efficiency and the company’s readiness for future growth.

With the third generation entering the business, Shalom Fibres continued to evolve while staying true to the values on which it was built: quality, trust, consistency and service.

Strengthened by the Second Generation

The next major chapter of Shalom Fibres was led by Solomon Vijayakumar, the second generation of the family.

With strong business vision and a deep understanding of the coir industry, Solomon took Shalom Fibres to the next level. He improved operations, optimised product quality and built a strong brand name for Shalom Fibres in India.

Under his leadership, Shalom Fibres became known for its high-quality products, consistent supply, excellent service and strong customer trust. His commitment to quality helped the brand earn a respected and immovable position in the market, creating high demand for Shalom Fibres products across the industry.

Today, Solomon Vijayakumar also serves as a board member and mentor for the Coir Association of India, continuing to contribute his knowledge, experience and leadership to the wider coir industry.

Through his vision and dedication, Shalom Fibres became more than a supplier. It became a name customers could trust.
